We saw The Go! Team last night, and they were awesome. It was at The Neumos, one of the most intimate venues around. It's on Capital Hill on Pike St. and it feels a lot like The Knitting Factory in LA. Before we went in, Scott Osgood gave a ring to his good friend Jessie... and little did I know it was Jessie Conklin, the substitute teacher from middle school! Team Gina opened, think 2 lesbian rappers versing suburban stories. I really liked Jessie's band, Bodies of Water. It's a really soothing sound with a little bit of Muse in it. And the main attraction, UK's finest The Go! Team. It was like an hour and a half of pure dancing to the greatest tracks from Proof of Youth and Thunder, Lightning, Strike. I've never been so sweaty from a concert in my life.
